Our firm

The firm of Cunningham & Dickey can be traced back to 1870 and has been in continuous practice in Belfast since that time. One of our Partners, David Marshall, is the the third generation of his family to be a Partner in the firm having succeeded his father Arthur and his grandfather Robert. Robert Marshall was the Principal in the firm from the 1920s and he was joined by his son Arthur after his service in the Royal Air Force during World War II. Of the present Partnership, which in itself has been in place for over 20 years, Hugh Logan is the longest serving member of the practice having joined in 1970.

Throughout the 140 years of Cunningham & Dickey's existence our main areas of work have been the private client sector combined with strong business and commercial connections. In the public sector we have had a long working relationship with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.

Over the last 25 years in particular, the firm has always been conscious of the development of office technology and it was one of the first Law Practices in Northern Ireland to introduce word processing. We keep abreast of advances in modern technology and this enables us to offer our clients a modern and efficient service.

We are in the heart of the City of Belfast, in an historic landmark building beside Victoria Square. As a result we are easy to find and with many car parking facilities in the area, easy to access.
